RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MATERNITY SESSIONS
Capturing memories with the belly in which your baby grows is an important and exciting moment, so you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the maternity photo session bellow.
Depending on the chosen package (studio or outdoor) you will receive personalised recommendations.
I recommend you avoid clothes that have drawings, logos and writing on them. It's best to bring 2-3 neutral gowns that are white / cream / pastel (or shirts), simple and without distracting elements. Also, avoid shiny or large prints. In the studio, the backdrops will be neutral. Outdoors, we will discuss together the most suitable colours and outfits depending on the season.
I recommend a discreet makeup, and it is important that intimate lingerie to be white or beige (skin color) if we work with the studio's props or the white background.
How Long Does a Maternity Photo Session last?
The duration of the session is 45-60 minutes. Outdoor sessions will be done 1.5 hours before sunset.
What should you bring?
For outdoor sessions you can bring water, snacks, comfortable shows deppending on location. You should bring the baby's ultrasound.
Things to know when entering the studio
The photo session takes place in a space with special light and props equipments, which require special attention.
We suggest you follow the rules of use of the space
It is very important, that when necessary, the shoes you use during a session to be very very very clean. Access with regular street shoes is not allowed in the studio, and they will be left at the entrance of the studio. There are slippers that can be used at the studio. I usually photograph everyone barefoot, from an aesthetic point of view, and for newborn sessions I usually take the family shots from waist up.
the session you booked has a specific fixed duration and depending on this, other appointments will be made. This why please bare in mind that extending the photo session's time will be done only in the limit of photographer's available time and at the costs of a new session. Please be on time.
If one of the family member is ill, can he come to the photo session?
In order to keep my tiny clients as well as me (the photographer) healthy, if any of the family members have health problems that are potentially contagious (cold, flu, enterocolitis, cough etc.), the session will be rescheduled according to the availability of the agenda, or the sick person can not attend the photo session. I work closely with newborns who have a delicate immune system. The studio is sanitised before each session and I do my best to keep myself healthy for my customers. Please do not enter the studio if you are sick. This can bring me and my clients into contact with viruses that will force me to reschedule many newborn sessions. In the event that you arrive at the studio and one of the family members is sick, the session will be canceled in order to not endanger the babies who come to the studio. Thank you for understanding!
How many setups we will do?
I work in a minimalist way, so we will not use props, but we will have different choices of background.
When and how do we pay? Is there an advance to be paid?
The payment is done at the end of each session, in cash or by bank transfer (online banking). I do not require advanced payment because I believe in the common sense of all people and I am convinced you will let me know if you need to reschedule or cancel your booking if an exceptional situation should arise to prevent you from keeping your booking.
How do we receive the photos?
The digital files (which you can choose from a selection of un-edited images) will be received through a private online gallery about 8 weeks after the photo session. After editing the session, it's possible that I will post a selection of images on Facebook / website with some pictures with your consent.
Do we sign a contract?
Of course. You will receive the contract in advance to be studied and digitally signed.
These personalised recommendations will also be emailed for you and will include details about studio address, phone number, etc.
